SAIL Invites applications for the posts of Attendant cum Technician (Trainee) and Operator cum Technician (Trainee). Selected candidates will undergo training for two years and they will be paid Rs. 8250 and Rs. 9350 for first and second years of training respectively. After the completion of training, they will be appointed on regular employment with Pay Scale of Rs. 9160- 3%- 13150/- (S3) for Operator-cum-Technician – Trainee and Rs. 8630- 3%- 12080/- (S1) for Attendant-cum-Technician -Trainee.
Name of the Posts:-
- Attendant –cum-Technician – Trainee: 96 posts (Gen-51, SC-18, ST-1, OBC-26, PH-3, Ex-s. Men- 28); Eligibility: SSLC / HSC and ITI in Fitter / Machinist / Electrician trade with minimum 60 percent marks (50 percent marks for SC/ST candidates). Age should be below 28 years as on 1-10-2010. Age relaxations apply as per rules.
- Operator-cum-Technician – Trainee: 14 posts; Eligibility: Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical or Electronics/ Instrumentation or Metallurgy with at least 60 percent marks. (50 percent marks for SC/ST candidates). Age must be below 28 years as on 1-10-2010. Relaxations applicable.
Candidates should have physical standards as prescribed by the SAIL. Selection will be based on Written Test, Interview and Medical Examination. Filled in forms along with fee in the form of DD for Rs 250 (Rs. 50 for SC/ ST candidates) drawn in favour of 'SAIL - A/C Salem Steel Plant' payable at Salem should reach 'The Advertiser, POST BAG NO: 781, Circus Avenue Post Office, Kolkata- 700017' Last date for receipt of filled in forms through ordinary post only is 15 days from 5th January 2011 (20th January 2011). SAIL - MEL Recruitment: Maharashtra Electrosmelt Limited, Chandrapur- a subsidiary of SAIL also recruiting Operator-cum- Technician posts in the pay scale of Rs. 9160 - 13150. Total vacancies are 5 (UR-4, OBC-1). Eligibility: Applicants should have 3 years diploma in Engineering (Metallurgy, Mechanical and Electrical) with minimum 55 percent marks along with 2 years experience. Age should be below 30 years.
