Visvesvaraya Iron and Steel Plant, a Unit of Steel Authority of India Limited is a leading producer of Alloy and Special Steels situated in Bhadravathi, 18 Kms from Shimoga, Karnataka
Name of the Posts:-
- Mining Mate S-1 Grade, Rs.8630-3%-12080
- Blaster S-1 Grade, Rs.8630-3%-12080
GENERAL:
1. Candidates will have to attend the Interview to be conducted at Bhadravati, Karnataka.
2. Candidates employed in Government/Quasi-Government/Public Sector Undertakings should apply through proper channel and enclose No Objection Certificate from the present employer.
3. Attested/Self attested photocopies of all academic & professional qualifications, proof of date of birth (Matric/High School Certificate). Experience certificate and attested photographs must be attached along with the application. Applications not accompanied with copies of the certificates and photographs Demand Draft will be rejected.
4. Envelope carrying the application should be clearly superscribed `Application for the post of Mining Mate / Blaster underlining/highlighting the specific post to which applied.
5. Selected Candidates will be taken on Company Rolls and placed in the grades and scale mentioned against the respective posts. Apart from Basic Pay, they will be eligible for Dearness Allowance, Contributory Provident Fund, Free Medical Treatment, Gratuity, Reimbursement of Local Travelling Expenses, Accommodation as per House Allotment Rules or House Rent Allowance etc. and other benefits as are admissible as per rules.
6. Visvesvaraya Iron & Steel Plant reserves the right to reject the applications found incomplete in any respect. No communication in this regard will be made with the applicants.
7. The date, time and place of the Interview will be intimated to the present address mentioned by the candidates in their applications.
8. Candidates must take special care NOT to staple the Demand Draft. Candidates may use steel pin (if required).
9. Interested candidates may submit their detailed resume along with a recent passport size photograph and copies of attested testimonials in support of age, qualification, caste and experience (if any) in the prescribed format and address it to the

along with a crossed non-refundable Account Payee Demand Draft for Rs.150/- (Rupees One Hundred and Fifty only) for General category candidates, drawn in favour of ‘SAIL–VISL’ and payable at Bhadravati, Karnataka, on any nationalised bank, should be sent by ordinary post only and should reach on or before 13.04.2011. Incomplete applications or applications received after the due date will not be considered. No application fee for SC candidates.
10. VISL shall not be responsible for any postal delay/loss in transit. No request in this regard will be entertained
