Applications in the prescribed format are invited from Indian citizens or such other nationals as are
declared eligible by the Govt. of India for various posts under different departments, Govt. of West Bengal, recruitment to which are made, in accordance with the rules, through Miscellaneous Services Recruitment Examination.
The examination will be held by the Public Service Commission, West Bengal in three successive
stages viz. (1) Preliminary Examination (Objective Type), (2) Final Examination (Conventional Type – Written)
and (3) Personality Test, as detailed below.
The Preliminary Examination will be held at various centres in West Bengal in September, 2011 or
thereabout. Only Scheduled Tribe candidates of Darjeeling district and other candidates of its three hill subdivisions, viz. Darjeeling Sadar, Kalimpong and Kurseong may appear at Darjeeling centre. The Final Examination will be held in January, 2012 or thereabout in Kolkata only and the Personality Test in the Commission's office at Kolkata.
